This posting may go into our top ten, a reception desk with a truly original frontage within a renovation project by San Francisco/Honolulu based Interior designers .
The story : 'Inspired by 1960's and 70's craft artists, the elongated reception desk at the newly renovated Dream Inn Hotel speaks to the local Santa Cruz culture. Typically approached as a flat surface, this desk provides depth with varied shaped, hand-stained wood blocks. The wood stands in contrast to the bright, multi-colored carpet, orange laminate top, with back-lit corrugated panels behind. Jonathan Staub of Philpotts & Associates teamed up with local designer Charles de Lisle to complete the hippie couture boutique Joie de Vivre hotel.' More designs to follow from these creatives.
