It is R.D.W's policy to try not to borrow other peoples text but I did like Chris Romer-Lee's 'e-architecture' write up on the Herzog de Meuron designed 'Caixa Forum' decribing the building thus - 'Occasionally one comes across a building that dances evocatively in the street'. Internally the artificial light certainly does dance, skate and slither across the purist plated sea of stainless steel floor panels. The heavily grained reception desk with its truncated limb counter in suspension, reaching out, ponders at its own reflection and on the anticipation of hoards of Madridian youth gliding around this space in their socks.
See also DEZEEN for more on the building.
