This is not your normal walk in reception area for a city monolith but a 'passarelle' ( public passage/footbridge to you or me) connecting 56th to 57th Street below the straddling Metropolitan Tower, New York. Shiny black panels reflect back the neon blue reception desk across a metropolitan lagoon. The public walk through, Tron like, on their journey while simultaneously being addressed by a digital display, 200ft of alternating art works. Architecture and drama by Rogers Marvel Architects. Photography by Paul Warchol. Via Archpaper. Thanks to Meliha Dura and our other Google blog followers.
